After 14 years in the same photography studio space, I’ve officially made the decision to close the doors to my current studio location.
And honestly? It feels like the right move.
When I first opened this studio back in March of 2012, my photography business looked completely different. I photographed babies, little ones, families, and built a studio that perfectly fit that season of my business. Over the years though, my work naturally evolved into seniors, branding, commercial work, content creation, and education — and my needs as a photographer evolved too.
This decision has actually been on my mind for a few years now, and recently I realized… what better time than now?
In this bonus episode of *The One Behind the Lens,* I’m sharing:
* why this decision wasn’t as hard as people may think
* how photographers can absolutely run successful businesses without a storefront
* what I’ve learned after 14 years in one creative space
* and what may be next for Kate DeCoste Photography
If you’re a photographer, creative entrepreneur, or someone navigating change in your business, I think this conversation will really resonate with you.
🎙️ Watch or listen to the full episode and stay tuned… because Season 3 officially launches June 12th.
