What to Expect & How to Shine in Your Headshot/Branding Session

In this short video, I will give you some tips on how to prepare (not just your wardrobe) and what to expect the day of your session.

If you have more clothing options than what your session includes, bring them! I can help you decide which jacket, shirt, etc to wear.
Don't be afraid to throw on a splash of color!
Make sure your clothing fits you well. Bulky clothing can make you look bigger than you actually are and may not lay well in portraits.
Try on your clothes at least 1 week prior to your session and have someone take pics of you in each outfit. I know this sounds silly, but you want to look your best and not have any surprises the day of your session.
Bring freshly ironed or steamed clothes on hangers to the studio.

Bring a brush, comb, hair products and makeup for any touch ups once you arrive a the studio or between clothing changes.
Wear makeup a slight heavier than you normally would as the lighting can wash you out slightly.
Hands can show in some posing especially if you chose the Elevate or Creator session. Make sure you do not have chipped nails, dirt under nails, or chipped nail polish. If needed, make your mani appointment a couple days prior to your headshot session.
Start hydrating once you have booked your headshot session. Skin can look more radiant when you are keeping up with that water!
Men, if you plan to shave, be careful to not miss around ears, under chin and under your nose.
