What does International Women's Day mean to me?

A Lot.

When I sit and think about what today means to me, personally, it's hard to put it all down in words.  I am a strong, sometimes stubborn, creative woman who believes in a past life, I was either a party planner or detective.  My life is full of beautiful friends and family who I would do anything for.  I am an Actor's Equity Stage Manager and I hold that card proudly.  I never thought I would ever move back to my hometown or own a business, but here I am, the owner of Kate DeCoste Photography in Wahoo, Nebraska.  Life is funny that way I guess. I love to travel and hope to see more of the world within the next five years.  I was raised by one of the strongest, smartest and loving mothers any child could ask for.  I have and will always live my life trying to make her proud.  When I have time, I can be pretty crafty. I believe we are always just trying to tell our stories.  And each of us has a story that should be told.  Even if you don't believe that last line, it is true.  Helping others probably sounds like a cliche, but its true.  Send him good vibes on Sunday! I love Broadway musicals, tv dramas, romantic comedies and probably a little too obsessed with all shows on the channel; ID Investigation. This is me.  The 40 year old me.

Today is a day to celebrate the women in your life.  Today is a day to celebrate yourself.  Today is a day to celebrate each other.
